We're one and a half years into this house, and I had completely forgotten that I started this blog! As luck would have it though, we've done very little to change it so far. Shock!
I will post some more before and after photos, but as of now, our Accomplished Task List is considerably smaller than our To Do!
We hit the ground running when we first closed, and then realized quickly that the first job to be completed would have to be updating the electrical system in the whole house. While my husband is completely capable of doing that, the first step was to update the service to the house from the road, which required an electrician, and $5,000. With that behind us, we're ready to move on!

The Before
Well, here it is! For the last 2 years we spent every night pouring over listings, every weekend in the car doing drive-bys, and had more than our fair share of deals fall though, but in the end, it was all worth it!
On Friday November 30, 2012, at 2pm in the afternoon, we bought our very first home, a bungalow no less! I have always adored bungalows, but they are not as prevalent on the east coast as they are on the west, so we weren't centering our search around them. In fact, this house didn't even come up on our searches (being only one bathroom)! We happen to drive by it and it was love at first site.
I am writing 6 days post-closing and 4 rooms are painted, the furniture is beginning to make its way into the appropriate room, and we even have a Christmas tree up!
